Position:           Head Custodian

Education Requirements:  High school diploma or equivalent
Experience, Skill, Certification:   This position is the custodial leader for a facility 90,000 s.f. or greater, and as such, assumes full responsibility for all custodial responsibilities to include building hygiene, light daily maintenance and basic safety. 

  • Previous experience in a custodial or maintenance position, in a lead or supervisory role
  • Knowledge of the working methods and procedures used in cleaning and minor maintenance of buildings
  • Knowledge of the qualities and uses of custodial supplies and equipment
  • Knowledge of care and cleaning of various types of heating and ventilation equipment
  • Knowledge of safety rules and regulations applicable to schools and related buildings
  • Ability to plan and organize the work of self and others involved in the custodial care of buildings
  • Ability to assign, train, and coordinate the work of the custodial crew
  • Ability to give and follow verbal and written instructions and directions and use a computer

Terms of Employment:  Incumbents will receive an annual contract.  Appropriate pay will be determined based on the Grade as determined by Human Resources and allowable experience. The work calendar will be 250 days. Hourly (G-8)

Position:           Administrative Secretary-Receptionist

Education Requirements: High school diploma; Coursework or degree in secretarial science or business and certification as a professional secretary preferred
Experience, Skill, Certification: 
At least three years of experience in a secretarial or high-level clerical role
• High level of proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and other office-related software packages
• Experience in work environments that include high volumes of telephone calls and walk-in customers
• Demonstrable skills in both oral and written communications, including the ability to draft correspondence for review by management
• Experience with standard office equipment and procedures
• Ability to use judgment to make or recommend decisions related to escalation of issues or other related situations based on departmental, school or Board policy 
Duties and Responsibilities: 
1. Assists in the preparation and completion of reports and correspondence.
2. Receptionist duties as dealing with adminsitration, visitors, parents and staff.
3. Maintains a schedule of appointments as required.
4. Makes arrangements for conferences, interviews, travel and so on.
5. Screens and directs telephone calls as appropriate.
6. Obtains, gathers, and organizes pertinent data as needed, and puts it into usable form. Assists in researching and preparing varied reports and presentations.
7. Files correspondence or other records in prescribed manner according to the practice of the department.
8. May have regular responsibilities that are specific to the department. 
9. Performs other duties as necessary for the effectiveness of the organization.
