Admissions Information

Pursuant to O.C.G.A. Section 20-2-2066(a), there is no Admissions Criteria for acceptance to Oglethorpe Charter School other than living in the Savannah-Chatham County School District.  Interested Parents or Guardians must obtain and submit an Admissions Application by the designated annual deadlines as outlined on the school website and at the school.  There are three scheduled Open Houses in January where parents can tour the school, ask questions, and learn more about our school program.  If the number of applications exceeds the capacity of the school program, all applicants will have an equal chance of being admitted through a random selection process known as the Enrollment Lottery.  Preference will be given to any sibling of a currently enrolled student and to children of a teacher or staff member.

2027-28 Admissions Information

Admissions Applications for new students interested in applying for the 2027-28 school year will be available online and at the school beginning Monday, November 2, 2026 through Tuesday, January 5, 2027 at 3:00 pm. Paper Applications can be picked up at the school from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm weekdays and must be completed and hand-delivered to OCS no later than January 5, 2027 at 3:00 pm.  

ADMISSION APPLICATION

OPEN HOUSE for prospective students and current 6/7th graders will be held November 18, 2026, 5:30-6:30 pm.

Admissions Information Sessions will be held in-person for 6th, 7th and 8th grade in the OCS Martha Giddens Nesbit Theatre on the following dates:
December 9, 10, and 11, 2026 at 11:00 am each day.

An Admissions Lottery will be held January 7, 2027 at 8:30 am in the Martha Giddens Nesbit Theatre at Oglethorpe Charter School.  Acceptance letters will be mailed January 12, 2027.
