Talent Show Oglethorpe prides itself on showcasing student talent in many of our Friday assemblies. One of the year’s highlights is the OCS Talent Show. Below is the schedule:  Wednesday, Feb. 29th—tryouts in the Titan Theatre; 4 p.m. pickup  Wednesday, March 7th—technical rehearsal in the Titan Theatre; 4 p.m. pickup  Thursday, March 15th– Dress Rehearsal in the Temple of Glory gym; 4 p.m. pickup  Friday, March 23rd– Talent Show @ 1 p.m. in the Temple of Glory gym; parents invited!  Students interested in trying out should have a polished act to perform for the tryout judges. Soundtracks must be without background vocals. A copy of song lyrics must be provided. All acts must be middle-school appropriate!	Virtue Of The Month Tolerance Quote Of The Week "This is the final test of a gentleman: his respect for those who can be of no possible service to him." - William Lyon Phelps Student Activities Sea Turtle Sprint Competition Feb. 25th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the West Broad Street YMCA.  Titan Time (Fridays @ 1:30) Feb. 24th—Early Release for Students @ 11:30 a.m. March 2—Club Non-Uniform Day $1 for eligible students  Basketball Game Final home game Thursday @ 4:30 p.m. at the Temple of Glory against Garrison Beta Club Meeting has been moved to Thursday, March 8th, to accommodate the Talent Show technical rehearsal on Wednesday, March 7th  NJHS March 14th until 3:20 p.m.	Parent Info Gift Cards We are always in need of $5 gift cards to Barnes and Noble. These are given to students who win school or district competitions. Please give these to Mrs. Baxter for recording. You will receive 1 volunteer hour for each $5 spent.  Community Service Opportunities Teaching students to give back to their community is one of the cornerstones of our character education program. There are several opportunities you may want to participate in with your child. These can count towards your volunteer time required by the school:  May 4th– Walk-a-Thon for Diabetes during Focus Friday @ 1:30 p.m. You must raise $10 to walk. Contact Mrs. Nesbit or Mrs. Trotter.   March 5th—Tour de Kids to benefit the Innerfaith Hospitality Network. $10 registration fee. Contact Ms. Saxon or Mrs. Shehane.
