Welcome to Oglethorpe Charter School, Georgia’s first start-up middle school. We
are a very special public school within the Savannah-Chatham County school system.
In fulfillment of our charter principles, we offer:
- A small environment
- A rigorous program of study - including the use of the Core Knowledge Foundation
Sequence Curriculum
- Character education
- Instruction prepared to meet student needs
- Teachers and administrators empowered to make key instructional, management, and
budgetary decisions
- Wellness and fitness
- Parental involvement in the educational process
- School and community connections
We offer parents and students an alternative within the district. With our curriculum,
parent contract, code of conduct, student dress code, dedicated teachers, and a
strong parent governing board, we are able to lead the way in innovation and improvement.
At Oglethorpe Charter School, parental involvement is considered to be a vital component
contributing to our students' success. Class visits are always welcome. Please sign
in at the Office and get a nametag.
