Welcome to OCS
Founded in 1999, Oglethorpe Charter School was the first start-up charter middle school in the state of Georgia, serving grades six through eight. In 2012, we moved into a state of the art building located at 7202 Central Avenue, Savannah, Georgia. At the close of the 2023-24 school year, we celebrated our 25th year of partnering with parents and the community to inspire students to achieve personal and academic excellence. Smart glasses are banned from Oglethorpe Charter School. Students may NOT bring or wear smart glasses on campus or at OCS activities. Smart glasses are NOT approved as a replacement for traditional corrective eyewear. Please note that unapproved use of electronics, especially during testing/assessment, will result in invalidation of scores and serious disciplinary consequences. Please reach out to a school administrator if you have additional questions or concerns.
